Principles of Operational Excellence and Assessment
The Shingo Prize Model and Guidelines have been developed to provide companies with a blueprint for lean transformation and attaining operational excellence that will drive an organisation through the levels of transformation and will build a solid foundation for deep cultural change. Workshop participants will gain an understanding of The Shingo Prize Model and the underlying principles behind The Shingo Prize philosophy and approach. In addition, participants will develop a comprehensive working knowledge of The Shingo Prize Guidelines which includes the criteria and methods for assessment of the progress an organization has made in its lean transformation. Through a group analysis of a case study “achievement report” and a team evaluation of this company, applicants will get hands-on experience using The Shingo Prize Model and Guidelines to assess the case study company. They will also learn how to apply lean methods to their own organisation and how to use the assessment methodologies to drive transformation. Workshop participants will study and discuss approaches to presenting and substantiating their achievements in lean transformation and business results.
